littlspecificty ♥ has some very, very good ideas.
Rules for anyone else wanting to do it:
1) Pick 2 songs (or more) that you would love for your muse to sing during karaoke - the more outrageous it is, the better (and if your muse has to get wasted to do it, that's fine, too).
2) Post a link to a vid of the song if you can or audio file (doesn't matter).
3) Post the lyrics to the songs you choose. If more than one person is singing in it bold what parts your muse will be singing.

Say, hey! Hear the sound of the falling rain Coming down like an Armageddon flame The shame, the ones who died without a name Hear the dogs howling out of key To a hymn called "Faith and Misery" And bleed, the company lost the war today I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies This is the dawning of the rest of our lives On Holiday Hear the drum pounding out of time Another protester has crossed the line To find the money's on the other side Can I get another Amen? There's a flag wrapped around a score of men A gag, a plastic bag on a monument I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies This is the dawning of the rest of our lives On holiday The representative from California has the floor Zieg Heil to the president gasman Bombs away is your punishment Pulverize the Eiffel towers Who criticize your government Bang, bang goes the broken glass Kill all the fags that don't agree Trials by fire, setting fire Is not a way that's meant for me Just cause, just cause, because we're outlaws, yeah I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies This is the dawning of the rest of our lives I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies This is the dawning of the rest of our lives This is our lives on holiday | [space.space] | What You Own ~ Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp. (Rent) Some do Take Me Or Leave Me? [Spoken] "Hi. Mark Cohen for Buzzline... Back to you Alexi. Coming up, vampire welfare queens who are compulsive bowlers." Oh God, what am I doing? Don't breathe too deep Don't think all day Dive into work Drive the other way That drip of hurt That pint of shame Goes away Just play the game You're living in America At the end of the millennium You're living in America Leave your conscience at the tone And when you're living in America At the end of the millennium You're what you own The filmmaker cannot see And the songwriter cannot hear Yet I see Mimi everywhere Angel's voice is in my ear Just tighten those shoulders Just clench your jaw til you frown Just don't let go [Both] Or you may drown You're living in America At the end of the millennium You're living in America Where it's like the twilight zone And when you're living in America At the end of the millennium You're what you own So I own not a notion I escape and ape content I don't own emotion- I rent What was it about that night What was it about that night Connection- In an isolating age For once the shadows gave way to light For once the shadows gave way to light For once I didn't disengage Angel- I hear you- I hear it I see it- I see it my film! Mimi-I see you- I hear it- I hear it- I hear it my song Alexi-Mark Call me a hypocrite I need to finish my Own film Your Eyes I quit! One song glory Mimi your eyes Dying in America At the end of the millennium We're dying in America To come into our own And when you're dying in America At the end of the millennium You're not alone I'm not alone I'm not alone |
